Interested in being a ZIP Coalition Coach?
Position Overview
Community Solutions is seeking five consultants to serve as Coaches to support the work of regional ZIP Coalitions to engage people with lived experience in regional efforts to end HIV and Hepatitis C (HCV) in their communities. Our current systems do not ensure equal access to services and programs that diagnose, treat, prevent, and respond to HIV and HCV. Coaches will collaborate with ZIP Coalition leadership teams to ensure that people living with HIV and/or HCV and people from historically and systematically marginalized communities are meaningfully engaged in coalition work. Coaches will help the Coalitions create a welcoming environment for PWLE and provide encouragement and connection to tools, resources, and strategies for reaching into the community to invite people to the table.
In addition to having personal experience with HIV and/or HCV, strong coach candidates will have experience with coaching, community organizing, coalition or community building, and/or advocacy. They will also be passionate champions for people impacted by HIV and HCV in Indiana. People living with HIV, HCV, and people who identify with historically and systematically oppressed communities, such as people of color, people who have a history of drug use, people who have been impacted by the legal system, and other marginalized communities are encouraged to apply. Community Solutions will support coaches in their coaching journey with tools, resources, peer learning opportunities, and partnerships.
Role and Expectations of ZIP-IN Coach
Each Coach will support two ZIP Coalitions in a variety of ways to help those regions increase authentic engagement for people living with HIV and HCV and PWLE who are not well-represented or served by traditional prevention and intervention programs and services and programs.
